OVERVIEW.

Viento Linear House is a contemporary private residence that embodies openness and seamless flow. Designed for a young family who values light, air, and linear continuity, this project merges minimalist architecture with warm, livable spaces. Located in a suburban setting, it redefines how interior and exterior boundaries interact.

The house is crafted around a simple yet striking concept: a linear axis that organizes all main living areas. Floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding doors blur the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces, filling the home with natural light and cross ventilation. Subtle material contrasts raw concrete, warm wood, and clear glass create a balanced, timeless feel throughout.
The material palette combines raw concrete, warm timber, and transparent glass to achieve a balanced modern look that feels welcoming and timeless. Subtle contrasts in textures and carefully detailed built-in furniture add layers of visual interest without cluttering the space. Every design decision, from orientation to interior finishes, supports a healthy.

Design Philosophy.

At the heart of the Viento Linear House is the idea that simplicity can enrich everyday life. The linear form was chosen not just for aesthetic purity but to create a clear flow of movement and natural light throughout the entire home. By minimizing unnecessary partitions, we encouraged seamless connections between rooms and the outdoors, enhancing both physical and visual spaciousness. Every material and detail was selected to feel honest and enduring, so the house remains timeless and flexible as the family’s needs evolve.

Challenges.

Designing the Viento Linear House came with unique site and lifestyle considerations. Balancing privacy with the desire for openness was the foremost challenge we had to carefully orient windows and transitions to shield views from neighbors while maintaining abundant daylight. The narrow site dimensions also demanded precise spatial planning to prevent any sense of confinement along the long axis. Lastly, ensuring consistent indoor comfort in varying seasonal climates required thoughtful placement of openings and choice of insulation materials, all while staying true to the minimalist aesthetic.

Outcome.

Viento Linear House now serves as a calm retreat for its owners a space that breathes, adapts, and stands as a testament to thoughtful, human-centered design.
